War crime? Syrian rebels execute POWs (GRAPHIC VIDEO)

A horrifying amateur video from Syria emerged online, showing an apparent mass execution of pro-government forces in Aleppo at the hands of rebels from the Free Syria Army.

The footage shows several bloodied men stripped down to their underwear being forced to kneel by a wall amidst a throng of excited, machine gun-touting men.

Once their captors open fire, the camera jerks away as the crowd momentarily disperses, seemingly unprepared for the nearly 40 seconds of uninterrupted shooting that follows. As the gunfire dies down, shouts of“Allahu Akbar!” resound as the once skittish onlookers victoriously raise their guns in the air, approaching what appears to be a pile of stripped-down corpses.

One of the victims has been identified as Ali Zeineddin al-Berri, who has been accused of leading a shabiha group which killed 15 FSA soldiers during a truce in Aleppo on Tuesday, BBC reports.

The video depicting the apparent massacre has not been verified, though the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said such vengeance was a crime as Islamic law does not authorize the execution of prisoners.

Clive Baldwin, a senior legal adviser for Human Rights Watch (HRW), told BBC News: “What it looks like is execution of detainees and if that is the case, that would be a war crime.”

Russia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Gennady Gatilov condemned the shooting. “The brutal massacre of government supporters by the opposition in the city of Aleppo shows that human rights violations are being committed by both sides,” he wrote on Twitter.

It is not the first time that reports have emerged of rebels carrying out executions against pro-Assad forces without trial.

Ahmed, a rebel fighter from the Amr bin al-Aas brigade which operates in the Syrian town of Azaz, recounted the execution of a Syrian army sniper named Rami who was shot dead after a graveside “trial,” Reuters reports.

Ahmed says Rami was firing from the top of a high minaret at a local mosque before he was captured.

“We took him right to his grave and, after hearing the witnesses’ statements, we shot him dead,” the agency sites Ahmed as saying.

Ahmed made it clear that his forces often capture “handfuls of soldiers” in battle, saying that his men would create courts for the captured men and execute them.

However, when pressed on the specifics of creating makeshift courts to justify killing those captured in battle, Ahmed remained stoic.

“The culture of lawyers has long passed. I mean a guy like that,” Ahmed said, referring to the slain sniper Rami, “what do you think his fate should be?”

Such extra-judicial killings might be a sign of things to come if the 17-month uprising against President Bashar al-Assad spins further out of control.

F-22’s latest problem: can’t win over cheaper rivals in close-range fights

Mysteries remain as to why the US Air Force’s F-22 Raptor pilots continue to experience symptoms of oxygen deprivation in the sky, but now a new question is being asked: does history’s costliest jet compare with its half-price counterparts?

The United States has invested about $80 billion into its Raptor fleet, which, at only 187 planes, has cost the country around $420 million apiece and has become the most expensive addition ever to the Air Force’s arsenal. According to a new report published in the latest edition of Combat Aircraft Monthly, though, the state-of-the-art jet has failed missions that put it up against the Eurofighter Typhoon, a simpler aircraft utilized by German pilots that costs a comparable measly $200 million apiece.

“We expected to perform less with the Eurofighter but we didn’t,” German air officer Marc Grune tells the magazine. “We were evenly matched. They didn’t expect us to turn so aggressively.”

Although the advantageous of the Raptor jet aren’t exactly being brought into argument, the latest report suggests that in terms of close-range, one-on-one combat, the F-22 has failed to outmaneuver its German competitor. And while the long-range capabilities of the Raptor continue to be endorsed, being unable to claim victory in an up-close-and-personal fight with a plane from another fleet is an embarrassment the US Air Force doesn’t need right now.

The Air Force is standing by its multi-billion-dollar fleet, but the latest news regarding the F-22 doesn’t end there. After months of complaints from inside the military over hypoxia-like symptoms effecting Raptor pilots, the Pentagon says they believe the root of their problems isn’t in the jet itself but with the inflatable vest that pilots are required to wear. The Defense Department is now considering new equipment for its pilots that it believes will eliminate those symptoms, which have been blamed on at least one death, but not before grounding its F-22 fleet time and time again as investigators looked high and low for the culprit.

“We have looked at everything on that system [to] the nth degree, and the bottom line is that there’s no smoking gun,” Lt. Gen. Herbert Carlisle, a high-ranking Pentagon official, told the Air Force Times earlier this year.

Pentagon spokesperson George Little said last week that in regards to its fix targeting the pilot’s vests, “The Air Force is confident the root cause of the issue is the supply of oxygen delivered to pilots, not the quality of oxygen delivered to pilots.”

The Pentagon has yet to formally conclude that its adjustments will eliminate the complaints of hypoxia like conditions. Meanwhile, F-22 pilots are prohibits from flying the aircraft above 44,000 feet.

Swirl of Controversy: Cope India and Red Flag 2008 Exercises

Starting in 2004 the joint Cope India exercise began over South Asia (after an absence of nearly 40 years) pitting F-15C of the USAF against a mix of older and newer Indian Air Force (IAF): Mirage 2000, MiG-21, MiG-27, SU-30Mk (not MKi) and Jaguar aircraft.

However this is where everyones expectations ceased?

By every available account: the IAF soundly defeated American F-15Cs over and over and over.

[Above] Note drop-tanks fitted to USAF F-15C and IAF Mirage 2000s.

American officials credited Indian pilots with being:

very proficient in [their] aircraft and smart on tactics. That combination was tough for us to overcome,”

“The adversaries are better than we thought,” Col. Mike Snodgrass added.” And in the case of the Indian Air Force both their training and some of their equipment was better than we anticipated.”

“The Indians flew a number of different fighters, including the French-made Mirage 2000 and the Russian-made MiG-27 and MiG-29, but the two most formidable IAF aircraft proved to be the MIG-21 Bison, an upgraded version of the Russian-made baseline MiG-21, and the Su-30MK Flanker, also made in Russia.”

When questioned on the capabilities of IAF pilots, Col Greg Newbech, USAF Team Leader made the following remarks:

“What we’ve seen in the last two weeks is the IAF can stand toe-to-toe with best AF in the world.”

“I pity the pilot who has to face the IAF and chances the day to underestimate him; because he won’t be going home.”

“The greatest compliment we heard from an IAF pilot – You American pilots are just like us, simply down to earth people.”

When word of the Cope India 2004 results reached Washington DC, it caused an uproar. Some western military observers quickly attempted to dismiss or reframe the results, claiming that USAF did not bring its true ‘go-to-war-gear’ to these exercises.

True, American USAF F-15C’s typically were outnumbered 3-to-1. However most of these explanations have dubious merit:

1.) AIM-120 AMRAAM missile and AESA radars would have made little difference in BVR – as new jamming technologies (like DFRM) degrade or negate most of these (radio EM-spectrum) AIM-120 class capabilities – regardless. In one sense: active-homing (fire-and-forget) BVR class weapons have become increasingly ‘easier’ to elude – using DRFM-class deception techniques. Indeed this might be what effectively occurs during ‘Red Flag’ 2008, (so keep reading.)

2.) It is unclear which R-27 missile round was employed by the IAF in 2004: IR-homing (R-27T), semi-active radar homing (R-27R) or active radar homing (R-27AE). Had the latest fire-and-forget class been allowed, the IAF would have simply used their R-77 similar to the American AIM-120 round. R-77 also has an IR-homing version – so again – another “wash?”

3.) Russian Flanker was designed to counter and defeat F-14, F-15, F-16, F-18. Its no surprise experienced Indian aircrews might prevail.

4.) Indians only used the Su-30 “MK” not their Su-30 “MKi.” Reportedly IAF Flankers simply used their larger radar and longer range weapons to fire on the F-15C before USAF fighters could fire back.

5.) Lastly the American military always fight its wars over hostile airspace: so USAF-to-IAF numbers/odds/environment is 150% applicable?

Subsequent Cope India exercises in 2005, 2006 had little to no information coming out. Judging from the hubris displayed by the USAF in 2008 – the silence from the USAF during the 2005 and 2006 Gwalior exercises – was apparently – deafening…

– Now – jump to the 2008 Nellis AFB ‘Red Flag’ exercises hosted by the USAF –

This time the Indian Air Force bring their new Su-30 MKi.

64th and 65th Aggressor squadrons at Nellis AFB, Nev.

Colonel Terrence Fornof, Director of the Requirements and Testing office (USAF Warfare Center, Nellis AFB), was providing a briefing to a number of retired US generals, [video has in the past appeared, been removed, and reappeared on the Internet]:

Listen to a pod-cast audio regarding the same presentation (even MORE interesting) * note:  pod-cast w/Fight editor appears to have been pulled. The thrust of this interview was that Nellis instructors in the F-15 were able to catch the F-22 in a turn:
http://iagblog.podomatic.com/player/web/2008-11-05T15_41_04-08_00

According to the Colonels own hand positions then a properly flown Su-30 can (also) catch an F-22 in a turn. So what – actually – is the USAF trying to say?

The US Colonels remarks caused an international flap in India.

Did some in the USAF have something to prove?

Indian Su-30MKi landing at Nellis AFB, Nev. in 2008

Problem is Colonel Fornof comments produced more questions than answers:

a.) Indian MiG-21IBis (I-Bis) “Bison” are equipped with Russian-made Kopyo radars, not Israeli “F-16” radars.

b.) That Su-30MKIs “lost in 1-v-1” DACT at Mountain Home AFB, there was apparently no such training done at Mountain.

c.) FOD concerns are not unusual for any air force operating halfway around the world. The Flanker has simply immense loiter and combat persistence ability – so take-off (fighter scramble) intervals are not (as) critical for Flanker – as for shorter range aircraft.

d.) MKi use Lyulka AL-31 turbofans, not Tumansky as was stated.

Indian Air Force MiG-21IBis (I-Bis). The paradigm(s) after 1982 Bekaa Valley and 1991 Gulf War – appear to have been misguided?

Indian MiG-21-IBis with R-77 “Adder” missile round. The R-77 is the equivalent to the American AIM-120.

So what conclusions, if any, can be drawn?

  • The paradigms established/embraced after Bekaa Valley ‘Turkey Shoot’ in 1982 and the results of the 1991 Gulf War appear to have been misguided by 2004 – due to Indian MiG-21IBis (I-Bis).
  • There is no substitute for flight hours and training. Proper training allows aircrews (of any air force) to extract the maximum performance out of their aircraft.
  • A similar post-stall counter-tactic was used by Nellis (F-15) instructors against less-experienced aircrews in both F-22 and Su-30. So by definition: a properly flown Su-30 can (also) catch an F-22 in a turn?
  • Remarking on F-22 needing ‘more missiles’ – is consistent with F-22 having only two IR missiles, historical air-to-air missiles hit probabilities and Raptors lack of helmet sighting. Su-30 brings helmet-sighting, nearly twice the number of missile rounds and a huge fuel reserves – at much (much) lower costs – to the fight.
  • His remarks on the inability of USAF instructor aircraft to employ their AIM-120 AMRAAM round – is interesting. Whether it was jamming, snooping, heads-up defensive flying, or other tactical issues, his comments are (duly) noted.
  • Remarks on the Indian MiG-21 are revealing. During the Bekaa Valley (Lebanon) air battles of June 1982, Israeli F-15 and F-16 radars had no trouble seeing (and downing scores of) Mig-21s. So DRFM-class jammers even on a MiG-21 – may have pushed BVR off the table – for any radio-spectrum AIM-120 equipped fighter – even Raptor?
  • Colonel Fornof was referring to this video (F-22 and Su-30 side-by-side):

Looking at the video, an astute observer noting airspeed, afterburner usage, altitude-loss, energy-recovery and aircraft attitude during/between maneuvers: can see that both F-22 and Flanker evenly matched regardless of Colonel Fornof statements or hand position(s).

Below is the complete Flanker demo. Watch the superb energy recovery [at payback 2:10] followed by a simply impossible maneuver of Su-30 at playback 2:13:

The Raptor does perform some of the maneuvers at lower speeds, however keep in mind the Flanker is much larger than Raptor, and F-22 lacks the pilot helmet-sighting of the Sukhoi.

New video [below] showing that – in fact the F-22 Raptor is in big trouble.

Indian News Report of2008 Red Flag:

The Sukhoi is going to be with us for quite awhile, and by any measure, is (and will be) a nightmare for USAF/USN brass, planners and aircrews alike. Flanker has loiter and combat persistence ability – that has no western equivalent.

Train how you fight and fight how you train, train and train.

The question may be who fights over friendly airspace and who fights of hostile airspace?

We count no less than 12 hard points on this MKi: four on each wing, one on each engine nacelle, and two on the aircrafts centerline. Even without external drop tanks, Flanker endurance and combat radius remains unequaled in the world.

Multi-sensor Advanced-Flanker with pilots of equal skill – should be more (more) than a match for F-22.

When or if the Lockheed-Martin F-22 Raptor participates in a future Cope India exercise at Gwalior India, whatever the results, they are certain to be quite the revelation – even if we never officially hear about them.

Conversely, we firmly conclude that procuring additional F-22s for the USAF will not resolve anything of this. One can purchase between three (3) and seven (7) Advanced Flanker for the cost of a single (1) F-22. To put it another way: if four (4) F-22 Raptors fly against twelve (12) to twenty-eight (28) Advanced Flankers – none (none) of the F-22s can survive this engagement. F-22 is simply far (far) too expensive for a real world.

India has placed a fresh order for forty (40) more Sukhois with Russia.

If the goal of the gender proponents is to reshape the global discourse on gender identity then it will fail, because of the very methods they use, once it becomes apparent, the whole movement will become self-defeating. If the goal is to bring about or usher in gender equality, then using masculinized means of doing it is not the way, why that would be the same thing they are claiming to fight and gross hypocrisy. To use the analogy, using violence to fight inequality and spread equality is irrational and becomes self-defeating because it immolates and perpetuates the same injustice.

Men and women are anatomically different based upon our sex organ that is a fact and it manifests in varying ways, which are not absolute and in some cases not definitive, because nature is not interested in absolutes and perfection, nature is only interested in continuing the species.

What we have here is the human drive to achieve equality and nature is taking its time, thus we are caught in the re-occurring paradox of man versus nature. Who ends up winning in the end?

I do not have the answer to solving this problem or conundrum, at least I can admit that and not violate someone’s humanity by imposing it in an imperialistic manner, but I do know this, I will not unleash the same violence, evil attacks in response to this injustice perpetuated against me by those who proclaim to be the proponents of justice and equality. In doing and taking that response, I prove to be more human than what these monster claim to be. I have my humanity and that is not a masculine or feminine thing, which is a human thing, it defies stereotypes and is “gender neuter._

No amount of QE3, Keynesian money pumping, or Republican austerity will fix the economy becasue it’s not a macro problem it’s a micro problem . The oigarchy is trying to pave over the $800 trillion of debt on the mega banks books by keeping the interest rates low so that they can continue to borrow money and create more debt. It’s not helping the economy because the banks are lending to each other as thery transfer their debt on you, the tax payer. The wealthy are buying up all the assets with low cost money, not creating jobs or investing in our infrastructure becasue the Republicans refuse to tax the wealthy who have enjoyed the bubble created by the neoliberals and neocons, like Allen Greenspan, Geithner, Robert Rubin, Sandy Weil, Larry Summers, the Bush’s, Clintons, and a the whole Republican party. The end will came in a break in the chain of payment between two banks. The solution if it’s a Democrat in power will be to write down the debt, and if a Republicans are in power, they will pass the debt on to the public sector in the form of taxes and the foreclosures will pass to the creditors. If you want to see the difference of how to handle the problem look at Greece now, and what Iceland did. Iceland told the bankers to take a hike, and now they are prospering, debt free. ….”

Well, the other required reading of the course is of the course is Laura J. Shepherd, ed., Gender Matters in Global Politics (New York, NY: Routledge,
2010), I am sure Professor John Friend did not just come up with that out of the blue, I am willing to bet money it came at someone’s behest. In our discussions of gender identity, he is very fond of how the secretary of states comes across as masculine and strong and brings  it up in subject from time to time with a satisfying smile on his face, can you imagine the stinging irony, not more for anything else than blatant hypocrisy.
One wonders, this is what they want to bring to Russia?

Thousands in Quebec march against premier

Thousands of people have taken to the streets of Montreal, banging pots and pans in a so-called casserole protest. The demonstrators demand the cancelation of a planned university tuition hike. In addition, they’re calling for Bill 78, which curtailed the right to hold spontaneous demonstrations, to be revoked. The march was declared illegal because students didn’t provide their route to the authorities in advance, as stipulated by the bill. At least one clash with riot police has been reported. The protest follows Quebec Premier Jean Charest’s announcement of an early election on September 4. Some see the move as an attempt by the premier to overcome months of social unrest and win a fourth term.

_

The above same thing was done inthe states, and over the years thousands of students were forced to drop out

_

Oh Professor Friend and his class cohorts were in agreement in extolling the mantra of the neo-liberal and dogma preached in the class for they said if you don’t follow it, you will be labeled crazy and forced into homelessness, which is a tactic I am sure they have use here in Hawaii.

This is what they want to bring to the Russian Federation?

Democracy-yeah right

The harassment extends even to the HWST course, but I will not dignify a response in that vector, as the people doing it know what they are doing and it all the more disappointing to see this divide and conquer mentality and practice functioning in this classroom whether known or unknown

This is an extension of the shock and awe strategy performed at the individual level. This is how the United States and the western world deals with dissention and the of the gall to attack the Russian Federation

.

Of course they use the same disenfranchised and minorities to attack other disenfranchised minorities some knowingly some unwittingly. This is known as co-opting

The irony is that this same disenfranchised who claim injustice perpetuates it enthusiastically, in order to promote their goals or aims, which is a gross hypocrisy and the flaw with claims of injustice, it discredits and delegitimizes those who genuinely seek justice against injustice and obscure discourse.

This is applied in the religious, gender and minority context, in which the target subject or groups are forced, coerced, displaced or sabotaged into the relative positions, states or being  of inequality relative to standards of poverty or injustice in the physical, environmental and mental sense, in order to extract sympathy, change or modify behavior and thinking. Is such a thing justifiable!

This is a combination of psychological warfare and non-consented social engineering directed at a sovereign state. Is such a thing justified?

This is at base Nazism, molded in Fascism, practiced by the disenfranchised in the name of claiming to fight and promote equality, democracy and human rights, while being manipulated from the shadows. Is this Justifiable?

The abused becomes the Abuser and thus a tragedy has occurred.

The Russian Federation must not fall into this trap and aggressively find solution in maintaining its internal stability and sovereignty in all its totality for the benefit of a just and successful Russia and all its peoples irrespective of distinct differences and identities.

If militants and extremist and the like are infiltrating the Russian federation it would be done on the outskirts of the Georgian and Azerbaijan flank, the eastern flank would be the Siberian side, based upon random analysis there is some interest in Vladivostok.

There is a northern flank exposure through the artic regions and the northwestern flanks in Eastern Europe could in theory facilitate three to four routes

The artic expanse is the most open at the moment, though the risk of using it is high due to weather and environment, along  in the eastern flank.

I would watch the exchanges also

Even in a civil society there are standards of decency. This issue of the “Pussy Riot” ordeal would go over far worse here in the west, infac5r people who were protesting the collective disenfranchisement of the poor and robbed by the OWS movement, have been treated far worse to include, pepper sprayed, beaten and subjected to psychological harassment, and surveillance, whose information is probably being kept in a databanks and are now blacklisted by various organization.

The western world has no right in lecturing the Russian Federation, when it comes to standards of decency. In Fact terrorists are torturing civilians in Syria and Activists (real ones) are being harassed in Bahrain, yet there is deafening silence from the promoters and defenders of liberty with regards to this inhumanity, especially from the celebrity class.

This is about hooliganism and the maintaining of Russian sovereign law; the same would apply to the other hooliganism that disrupts sporting and civic events.

I am an atheist, and I would never do what “Pussy Riot” did, as there is a level of decency and civility and I ‘ve been treated worse by the religious here.

Now as for the punishment, me I would have given a citation and probably ban from the premise, but Russian sovereign law is to decide that answer.

What you notice here in the west is that notion of liberal radicals and conservatives are obscurations, both groups will and are quick to point fingers, obscure the truth and engage in violence and deceit in order to achieve their ends so long as it is shaped as or wrapped in the mantra freedom loving with  the hippie (peace, love and harmony) euphoria in the case of liberals (Democrats) or conservative (Republican) rhetoric and propaganda in case of conservatives (Republicans). The power elites manipulate one or the other along these lines as necessitates achieving various goals, or as a means to an end. This is the power dynamic of the national elites.

This whole situation reminds me of my horrible, inhumane treatment here, but you don’t same reacting the way they do.

Just my observation, nothing more

“Migration” by Jindy Pettman

The issue of migration is presented in the context of gender discourse to highlight and circumscribe the various courses of migration discourse and vectors relative to the globalized world with regards to international relations.   The prevailing view within the texts posits that through historical migration, gender affects the global political economy by co-opting migration patterns into gender identities through transnational reproductive labor and has the post-migration effect of conforming global citizenship into contextual gender specific identities across the global landscape.

The following are the basis for which the author makes the above claims. Migration patterns have historically been shaped in the context of male seeking work while the women stayed home to maintain the national progeny. As the world moved into the globalized stage there is marked increase in moving women across and within borders.  This is a result of various push and pull factors to include war, extremism, xenophobia or environmental disasters just to name a few. More importantly, economics is applied as the major role in the context of global political economy. This results in the so termed “feminization” of labor, where men are expected only in masculinized industries (such as day laborers or farmers) and women are expected to work in “feminized” industries such as nursing, domestic home care, concierge, or receptionist for example. This has the effect of displacing resources from the migrant’s home in shaping domestic rearing in the new work environment away from the native home in a cascading effect causing socio-economic instability along the way. This changes the global landscape post-migration by conforming migrants to so termed “masculinized” and “feminized” work categories in stereotypical fashion and disrupting the modes of local identities by creating the notion of the “global citizen,” but without the benefits of “global citizenship.” This restructures new identities in the forms of the so termed “gender-neutral” citizen, “gender differentiated” citizen and the “gender pluralist” citizen.

The implied relevance to international relations is, because of the paradigm shift with which these modes of global political economy operates and transmits across borders irrespective of the consequences to  migrants, shapes discourse and serves as a perspective in understanding this problem by highlighting it in relation to human rights, reproductive rights and gender rights packaged as “democratic” ideals in tackling these issues on a global scale with the implied goal or intent of promoting “democracy” through “gender equality.” This however, to some extent neglects and does not delve into the socio-economic factors affecting migration displacement and the larger negative effects of globalization, especially with regard to the socio-economic conflicts, which arises as a result of the  structural defects intrinsic in form to neo-liberalism applied in the global context.

The problem arises from the obscuration of various schools of thought in the context of politics and economy and most Americans do not make the distinction because the discourse is obscured, and that is done on purpose.
For example, as far as economics go, there are distinctions such as
Neo-Liberal
neo-relaist
neo-constructivist
neo-classical
As politics go, there are
neo-liberal
neo-conservative
neo-libertine

All these neo-prefexes obscures, confuses and muddles the discourse, while the real perpetrator reaps the benefits of divide and conquer.

Russia needs to avoid this trap

The problem in the US is that there is a culture of corruption at each stratified layer of society including class. It’s just a matter of justification and perspective which permits one over the other, with the false proclamation that “if You were in my shoes you would do the same thing too,” well no I wouldn’t, some people actually have standards and honor, though they are few and far between.
This has many complex roots and dynamics which was a factor of U.S and western policy during the cold war, too long to detail here. So it is safe to make the Assertion that since this culture and mode of corruption pervades western thought and society, Russia cannot take at face value anything which is said to it and thus it appears that the era of Russian inspection is over.

__
All this media frenzy, Russia is very well aware of the move to goad it into  middle eastern quagmires, the rest is just speculation on the part of the other side as they cannot ascertain Russia’s intentions, ability or means, so they resort to this nonsense.
The Russian Federation is more than capable of achieving its goals in a manner when it is conducive to do so in the interests of peace and stability.

Russia needs to avoid that tap also

Yes, I have been harassed by SOME, not all  Hawaiians here also, now whether it was of their own doing or at the behest of someone else is a matter of following the trail.

It’s just disappointing that a people who have been disenfranchised for so long, some would resort to the same tactics, training and procedures of aggression and oppression.

I think someone promised to help the Hawaiians to regain sovereignty-now I  could be wrong- but the writing is on the wall, in invisible ink.

Who knows, but I did not come here by choice, and to be caught up in political scheming and machinations, I was stationed here.

“I am a former Russian Orthodox Priest and can explain the reaction. Putin is a member of the Russian Orthodox Church. In this church, it is the custom to kiss the hand of the priest. It would likely have deeply shocked and offended Putin to have that courtesy offered to him. He, while in his secular capacity, would not have kissed the priest’s hand, but he wouldn’t want to have the sign of obedience given to him by a priest who is also a monk (you can tell by the veil on his kalamafki (hat)). Nothing sinister here. Just Putin being a good Orthodox Christian.”

I left the Aikido dojo because of James sensie, I don’t think
Don Enoki was getting the full picture when it came to me
HE was being told something else
Enoki sensi follows the teachings of Aikido
James sensi modifies it along militirist lines which is not Aikido
He had an ulterior motives and it was clear that,
someone was giving him information about me, based upon a few of our meetings.

America is not the fair and just country it tries to portray and have everyone believe
That is not a new discovery, that is a known fact and does not come as a surprise to people
who already know this.

However:
It is my observation that those same people who lambust and decree injustice
also pepetuate and do the same thing, this is a complex problem due to the legacies of
colonialism and racial injustice, which some have acknowledged, but never really redress those injustice, so the status quao  preavails in all
sorts of smoke and mirrors

The Left is just as bad as the Right, and they both in turn are just as bad as the middle
None of them are any worse or better than the other, that is why I resuse to identify my self with such lables and
categorizations.

What you have is a nation of the divided and polarized, conquered by the unaccountable special interest.

It s an even worse tragedy when you have hippies and political (not economical) liberals being
manipulated into harassing unsuspecting people for pleasure and profit, while believing they are advancing their own way of life and agenda by
the very special interest they rail agianst.

This is not democracy this is shamocracy 2.0

This the Russian Federation must avoid

Its obvious the “Pussy Riot” scenario was a trap, and the Russina Othodox church should not be so
quick to seek a prosecution, and the prosectuion should not inject rhetoric such as “offence to god”
as that is a vector filled with all sorts of trappings.

If people think they don’t do the same thing here in the states, they are naive
The difference  is that here one does not use the courts they use other civil and
covert means away from the public eye in harassing atheists

All thiss “Pussy Riot” media

One of yesterday’s class presentation was on North Korea: Significance of the First Lady being shown, beside the crass unprofessionalism by resorting to personal attacks, is this what academic discourse has come to?

What struck out from the presentation was
“Men rule, women rule the men”
I ask the presenter to clarify, because if the goal is gender equality, then that is perpetuating sexism, the same sexist gender roles of women using her feminine (prescribed gender norm-social construct) wiles, he said that maybe the west can influence  men and maybe they might use the women to influence the DPRK leader

Well Power point Presentation sucked, but I wasn’t looking to condensing it-my focus was on this paper- but only just to meet final and class requirements:

__________________________

The problem here and what Professor Friend and company is engaging in is psychosocial behavior modification through peer pressure tactics reminiscent of high school popularity contests, and those nincompoops in the class willingly go along with it. I had no time of overgrown children. This is what is going on here, what they did to me was not because I was a threat, I have no delusions of grandeur-it was evil pure and simple, caprice, whim and vile.

The Republicans are right to an extent about the democrats, but they are no different in policies, behavior and rhetoric, the only difference is the matter of rationale and modus operandi. One group is overt in its disposition, the other covert, the people doing the most shouting is disconnected from their constituents and they continuously sling mud at each other. Neither group  has a sound plan to get  the U.S. out of its economic and political quagmire.
The republics are trapped in their rigid ideology and the Democrats are trapped in “their  I don’t know what to call it ” and both suffer from the illusion of divine exceptionalism.
For this to be happening a country such as this means the U.S. has been compromised at the echelons and levers of power and across the social strata.
I am convinced that this is not the mode for the Russian federation .
Russia does not need to take from anyone’s playbook the following, need to rewrite its history, create reeducation tactics, stifle dissent, or forcefully or covertly coerce its intellectuals or celebrities to do the bidding of the state-It’s Unnecessary-These are only traps which comes back to bite later in the future.
By acknowledging the good as well as the bad one prevents the sowing of historical regressive hatred and vitriol so present in the world today, dug up and slung up by Anthropologists pursuing an agenda.
Russia must and can work to ensure the prosperity of all its citizenry , acknowledge the shameful as well as the successful.
There can be no fear in engaging the opposition in dialogue or other context irrespective of differences. The youth of the opposition protest because of the imported discourse that in democracies you must always protest, disagreed and quarrel, ad infinitum.
They are young and immature, some don’t grow up (those are the ones who nurture hatred all their lives for no logical reason). They are oblivious to the pitfalls, histories and fallacies evident with democracy and its discourse and only take the flower but not the history in a blatant form of cultural window dressing.
This protesting youth remind me of my youth, we were so anxious, protesting for our ideals and for the world to go our way, only to realize that we were being used and manipulated and we had no ready solutions for the injustices and problems we were protesting. We were ready to use the same injustices brought upon us, not that  the people perpetuation these injustice were in any hurry to correct wrongs either.
The temptation becomes easy to rally around the banner of religion for identity but even that is full of flaws and can only be successful in totality if everyone is religious or converted forcibly or others wise, thus you become caught in a  cycle of inter-subjectivity with no end.So what is the solution?
The Russian federation needs a universal common identity
My Observation, nothing more

For the most part it is important to distinguish between ruling elites and constituents in the context off Democrats and Republicans.
By the time Roosevelt realized it was too late, by the time Truman realized it was too late and when Eisenhower found out that the intelligence agents were lying in their assessments to some degree he warned about the military industrial complex, but even by then it was too late, as he later realized and by the time Kennedy realized, well the rest is history.
_
JFK Speech on Secret Societies and Controlled Media, American Newspaper Publishers Association, Waldorf Astoria Hotel, New York, New York, (4/21/1961)
“The very word secrecy is repugnant, in a free and open society, and we are as a people, inherently and historically, opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweigh the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today there is little value in ensuring the survival of our nation, if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious who wish to expand it’s meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit, to the extent that it is in my control. For we are opposed, around the world, by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy, that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence,
on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation, instead of free choice,
on guerrillas by night, instead of armies by day, It is a system which has conscripted, vast material and human resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific, and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned. No rumor is printed. No secret is revealed. No president should fear public scrutiny of his program. I am not asking your newspaper to support an administration.. But I am asking your help in the tremendous task of informing and alerting the American people..I not only could not stifle controversy from your readers, I welcome it. Without debate, without criticism, no administration and no country can succeed. And no republic can survive.
For I have complete confidence in the response and the dedication of our citizens when they are fully informed.
That is why the Athenian law decreed it a crime for any citizen to shrink from controversy. And that is why our press was protected by the first amendment, the only business in America specifically protected by the constitution, not primarily to amuse or entertain, not to emphasize the trivial and sentimental, not to simply give the public what it wants, but to inform, to arouse, and to reflect to state our dangers and our opportunities, to indicate our crises and our choices, to lead, mold, and educate and sometimes even anger public opinion. This means greater coverage and analysis of international news, for it is no longer far away and foreign, but close at hand and local.. it means greater attention, to improved attention, to greater understanding of the news, as well as improved transmission. And it means finally, the government at all levels, must meet its obligation, to provide you with it’s possible information, outside the narrowest limits of national security. And so it is to the printing press, to the recorder of man’s deeds, the keeper of his conscience, the carrier of his news, that we look for strength, and his assistance, confident that with your help, Man will be what he was born to be.. Free and independent.”

If these religious nut cases are willing and able to injure people for religious conversion in the same fashion that they accused Joseph Stalin of doing(there is a lost history behind why Joseph Stalin acted out they we he did buried no doubt-thats my next research topic), they are in essence the ones who are totalitarian. The Russian Federation is a secular state for a reason, not all of it inhabitants are religious and to convert them all to religion would require force of coercion, which would in essence be totalitarian, which would be another trap to push Russia in that direction only from a religious vector instead of a secular vector. The first time they used the secular vector and Stalin fell for the bait-hook line and sinker. This time they are trying to use the religious vector but the gentleman from Moscow is more intelligent and wise than they every imagined. They really thought he was stupid.

Pain along spine continues, with headaches, chest pain and difficult breathing, swollen tongue, pain in throat. Currently on terminal leave Now. I have no plans of returning to new york as I have never considered it a my home, nothing but trouble from that state as well as trouble from here.Abdominal pain increasing, starting to have massive abdominal and spinal pain.

So I went to KCC because I need a refresher math course.
I met the prerequisites for math 103 so I tried applying for that course before I jumped right back into precalc and calculus. They gave me the run around, first the representative chad at KCC registration claimed that the transcript evaluator could not help because Manoa had the MA-120 course which I took at CUNY as waiting on syllabus. So I asked, “What about the course description tells you that this does not meet the prerequisite for MATH 103,” he said that it did not have the word radicals in the description-Seriously!? So I pulled up a course syllabus online and showed him and told him to take it to the transcript evaluator, he came back and said, “Sorry he could not evaluate it because he was unsure.”So I went to the math department at Kiala 101c, the secretary greeted me as if she knew I was coming, and the first thing she inquired about was where I was from-I said New York-she said oh I’m from New York, I explained to her the situation and what had transpired, she played dumb, oh I don’t know, you have to ask the chair or the professor and they were at a new faculty orientation, which would not be over till 1100. I asked where is this policy written, as a former student government officer at two universities and former student activist, I know that university policies are codified either in the bylaws of the faculty government or the relevant department. She did not know, so I asked to please point me in the direction of who would know. I was sent to see a Mona Lee at Ilima 205, she was not there, but the dean of student affairs was, she could not find the written policy on class overrides, concerning prerequisites either. So I went to the Library at lama, printed out the syllabus and promptly took it back to kalia. I met with the math chair at Kalia, she claimed because the course was passed along to the teacher, that it is the policy of the professor to override any of the criteria for prerequisites based upon meeting those prerequisites. I was flabbergasted but not surprised, this is how corruption spreads, here you have faculty leaders articulating school policy but cannot produce the documentation codifying that policy-can someone say whack job-wink wink. So I went Back to Manoa to explain the situation, they referred me to admissions, who referred me to the math department to resolve the issue quickly, in the mean time I informed the VA rep and the student advisor of my intent and initiation of the process to do dual majors. Well, let me tell you, the VA gave me a  spin around twist of buffoonery and wolf ticket sales. At first I was told that I could not do  a dual major-LIE!
The reason given was that the VA only does BA-BA or BS-BS dual majors and no BA-BS situations. So the former student government officer and student activist side of me kicked, oh! Really? May I please see this written policy of which you speak? All hell broke loose, scramble in every direction, So they came back with a folder and the alleged VA policy listed dual major and dual objectives, so I asked what’s the difference, they interpreted and extrapolated from 2-3 paragraphs on both subjects that the VA classifies Two BA-BA or BS-BS as dual majors and a BA-BS as dual objective because its two different degrees. Can you say, insult my intelligence. I said that is a blatant play on semantics and no where in these to paragraphs does it explicitly articulate that. A BA in Russian and a BA in Dance is two distinctive degrees according to the dictionary definition.
A BS in Math and a BS in Chemistry is two distinctive degrees
A BS in biology and a BA in Dance are two distinctive degrees

All of the same education level being Bachelors Now, examples differing degrees of differing education levels would be a BA and a M.A, A BS or a M. S. A BA or a Ph. D

3a : expressing or dealing with facts or conditions as perceived without distortion by personal feelings, prejudices, or interpretations <objective art> <an objective history of the war> <an objective judgment>
b of a test : limited to choices of fixed alternatives and reducing subjective factors to a minimum Definition of MAJOR1 : greater in dignity, rank, importance, or interest <one of the major poets>2: greater in number, quantity, or extent <the major part of his work>3: having attained majority

So I went to the math chair department and explained to him the situation. apparently MA-120 would transfer as MA 135 at Manoa and MA 135 is considered remedial  course so they would take it as a transfer, because it’s a prerequisite to MA-140Now its important to understand context here
MA-120 is College algebra and trigonometry
MA-135 is the same thing
How a math course labeled COLLEGE algebra and trigonometry could be remedial at the college level is beyond me. and I will end the rehashing of  events there, because  recollecting the rest of the events is beyond logic in the manner in which these people act and it is apparent from rest events the strings are being pulled

Random Observations

The Presidential campaign

Candidate Romney will more than likely lose the election because of the disconnect between republican elites and their constituents The Republicans suffer from rigid ideology mentality, whether they choose to acknowledge it or not, the Republicans are seen as the party of the wealthy and unless they can overcome their ideological rigidity it will be  an  increasing liability and difficult for them to win few elections, but they win elections anyway why is that? It has to do with the label “Republican” and those who identify themselves as such for the most part, inherent within that ideology is the concept and conviction of “Privilege,” and that is the legacy of colonial and racial institutions and you see this phenomenon the world over. This is so, because inherent within the world power dynamics, where there is a dichotomy between the “haves” and the “have-nots” is the conviction and practice of class privilege. This is a deeper structural problem of neoliberalism. Not being specific about your political agenda and vague on the matter, only perpetuates the stigma associated with politics and serves to foment the idea that you have something to hide.
Need I remind you, that the gentleman from Moscow, listed explicitly what he would set out to do and won the election. This is a problem for both Republicans and democrats and their respective political institutions, because inherent within all these power structures is the culture of corruption and the demand to cover it up to prevent accountability, which is counter intuitive and counter-productive toward a more just and efficient society. Thus it becomes hypocritical when the west criticizes Russia on political grounds, when we have the proliferation of the following:

_______

Confirmed: US government spies on federal staffers

Warning: The following is copied and pasted to show nothing more:

““Who would have thought that they would have the nerve to be monitoring my communications to Congress?” TAGS: Internet, Information Technology, USA, Security

Several federal agencies have purchased an advanced software application that allows administrators to see every single action, item, mouse click and more performed on their employees’ computers. Some say it’s being implemented to end whistleblowing.
I

n the midst of a witch-hunt that has targeted anyone accused of leaking documents, the US federal government has been linked to a massive acquisition of spyware that allows the higher ups to get a hold of essentially any communiqué and comment made by its employees on any electronic device. Some agents with the Food and Drug Administration insist that their personal conversations were unlawfully monitored by their higher-ups using the program, citing their superiors’ fears that whistleblowers will continue to come to lawmakers to voice concern over dangerous practices within the FDA.
“We are looking for what we call indicators of compromise,” Joy Miller, deputy assistant secretary for security at the Department of Health and Human Services, the FDA’s parent agency, says to the Washington Post. “We’re monitoring a system, not everybody in that environment.”
Journalists with the Post penned an article this week that examines the use of Spector 360, monitoring software made by the Spector Soft group, within the FDA and other agencies.
According to the FDA, staffers had their computer activity monitored and logged over concern that employees were disclosing trade secrets. Those agents, however, argue that they were spied on to ensure that they were not reporting internal corruption to Congress. And while the Post’s expose examines the government’s attempts to chill any employee’s attempt at blowing the whistle on wrongdoing, it only begins to open up what great lengths the feds are willing to go to.
In January, six FDA scientists filed a lawsuit against the agency in US District Court over claims that they were unlawfully spied on after approaching Congress with their concerns that their office was allowing the approval of medical devices that posed a risk to the public. When the Post reported on those claims at the time, they unearthed emails dating back to early 2009 that showed that the FDA had intercepted emails between agency whistleblowers and congressional staffers.
“Who would have thought that they would have the nerve to be monitoring my communications to Congress?” Robert C. Smith, one of the plaintiffs, told the Post at the time.
Seven months later, not only are federal employees being still subjected to constant monitoring, but some have suggested that the surveillance surpasses what the government is allowed to do by the books. One expert tells the paper that any device used to access encrypted government data is then considered fair-game for any surveillance software.
“The general policy right now is if a personal device accesses any agency information, it adopts the profile of a government-issued device,” Tom Clare, senior director of product marketing for Websense, tells the Post. “They’re going to monitor everything.”
And it isn’t just everything, but everywhere, too, apparently. In an investigation carried out earlier this month by the National law Journal, the paper writes, “Government-contract records show that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (V.A.) purchased spy software from the same company that supplied the FDA’s computer monitoring program, according to the database USAspending.gov.”
The Drug Enforcement Administration has also been tied to the software, an accusation confirmed by spokeswoman Dawn Dearden to the National Law Journal. On her part, though, Dearden pleads that the DEA “is aware of protections afforded to whistleblowers and does not monitor or check for that kind of activity.”
Despite this claim, some say that this monitoring could chill even thoughts of blowing the whistle.
“The actions of agency management have negatively impacted employee morale and resulted in significant concerns about agency management practices,” Colleen Kelley, president of the National Treasury Employees Union, tells the Journal. “For example, in light of what has happened at FDA, some employees voiced to [the union] their reluctance to report wrongdoing, for fear of retaliation.”
Transportation Security Administration Spokesman David Castelveter adds to the Post that the use of such software within that agency isn’t part of a war on whistleblowing, but instead is “about protecting the sensitive nature of the transportation security mission.” When certain information is kept under wraps to avoid being brought to the public, though — as with the lawsuit against the FDA — sensitive information is sometimes needed to be introduced outside of the agency for the sake of safety.
The Post reports that Spector 360 has been sold to at least one dozen federal agencies. In a request for solicitations posted by the Department of Homeland Security’s TSA in July, the government goes about explaining exactly what they look for in such software.
“The scope of this procurement is an enterprise insider threat software package,” the solicitation reads. “In order to detect an insider threat, technology is required to monitor and obtain visibility into users’ actions. TSA Focused Operations requires a tool that can monitor user activities at the user host level.”
Included in the government’s requirements for responses is the ability for the software to look at and log keystrokes, chats, email correspondence, website activity and file transferring, as well as the capacity to capture a screenshot of any activity occurring on a computer monitor at any time. It also mandates that the end user “must not have the ability to detect this technology,” nor the ability to terminating the monitoring on their own.
According to a press release published in June, SpectorSoft has provided services to more than 160,000 businesses, government organizations, schools and law enforcement agencies. In a case study included on the SpectorSoft.com website, KBSolutions, Inc. President Jim Tanner claims, “To date, no offender has successfully attacked Spector Pro or defeated it.””

There was a time when Republicans and the constituents were protectionists-it was a long drawn out battle after WWII and the liberals (economic liberalism in the form of internationalist free trade) won out because of  the appearance of the red scare.

One side tickles the Republicans and the other side Tickles the Democrats and neither of them are none the wiser to this manipulation except the elites who go along with it to protect their financial wealth.
Thus we have the Presidential candidates, two sides of the same coin.

_

That battle between trade Protectionist and free trade liberals after WII was Americas second civil war

_

It doesn’t rule out the possibility of a third party candidate or Mr Romney winning, it just means the road is filled with more obstacles

_

I will not be voting, because I know where both hands doing the tickling comes from, thus we are left with a farce for a democracy and no one is none the wiser. In the 21st century and beyond the either or fallacy of democrats or republicans just won’t cut it any more

All this mess Russia must avoid

The anti-malaria antibiotic or so they claim it was, which was mandated throughout the deployment was mean to weaken my immune system The changing of my work schedule with it constant shifting and the obsolete IBA, and small kevlar was to induce stress

The placing of the brass stopper  4-1/2-to five feet in the bathroom was meant for me to hit my head

The prescribing of the laxative at fenty was to further weaken my immune system and the kicking up of dust by the vehicles on my weekly run schedule at fenty was to kick up the dust, to induce an infection

The delay of the treatment at fenty was a targeted effort to prescribe valium and the other narcotics to attenuate the negative side effects of those drugs along with the African American soldier who was sent to instruct the barber to over extend my neck during the neck cracking massage at the barber

The delay and denial of treatment and diagnosis was to exacerbate the effects and induce  a coma

The manipulation of the spine by the medical physical therapist at fenty was meant to disrupt my spinal alignment

One wonders when the investigators would find this out-but there was no investigators for that

An elaborate plan indeed and for it to succeed there had to be coaxing from the top

No wonder 1sG Nelson disappeared after deployment-there was an interesting photo in his office of a gentleman, I am sure I had seen before but I could not put my hands on it until now-wow my memory really was affected by this operation they instigated. Why would leeloy and SFC Flores-cotto tell me about his brother who could recover hard drives disk-Why was Smith sent to ask me about Mr Assange at Fenty, and there soon after the state department and company moved out of our toc

No wonder they could not find till the very last moment-what killed MR litvenienko-Wouldn’t you like to know-well so would the rest of us-I dare bet money it wasn’t the Russians. It could not have been the Russians-there is one missed factor staring everyone in ht e face but no one is shrewd enough to notice it-the most obvious._                                ___

I had an Hypothesis-so I played Jennifer Hudson on youtube, whom I am no great fan of-and went downtown to Barnes and Noble at Ala moana Mall-for my usual book reviews—-

Sure enough not even2-3 minutes in there Jennifer Hudson starts playing on the intercom and some African American Woman -or one who appears to be walks by with a sinister and grotesque harassing smile.

What A coincidence and disturbing- because the music was hurting my ears and exacerbating my headache I would hate to think that this surveillance is a form of harassment considering I don’t identify with such ilk-because of the continued harassment nonetheless

The republican candidate for president offers nothing that the current administration is not already doing

The current administration supports all the major military and economic positions of the Republican platform short of tax breaks for the wealthy, had any third party candidate capitalized on that and brought home the meme, they would be in the ranking for the white house, but alas third party candidates are in short supply.

That an African American would use the very same tactics of Aparthied during the pre-civil rights era of America is flabbergasting and speaks volumes as to whom is really in  charge-the campaign financiers._If Russia was shrewd it would trace all those connections, but then again the Russian Federation is one of the few states which hold its bankers to accountability and not let them run amok creating havoc.

Well, how do you think they’ve been operating all this time? I will bet money it went something like this, “we have some intelligence, the country is in danger child”
We’ll take care of the african Americans and blacks, you take care of the Caucasians, you take care of the asians , that way no one can claim racism. SIDE NOTE:

Va. veteran detained after strident Facebook posts

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A former Marine involuntarily detained for psychiatric evaluation for posting strident anti-government messages on Facebook has received an outpouring of support from people who say authorities are trampling on his First Amendment rights.

Brandon J. Raub, 26, has been in custody since FBI, Secret Service agents and police in Virginia’s Chesterfield County questioned him Thursday evening about what they said were ominous posts talking about a coming revolution. In one message earlier this month according to authorities, Raub wrote: “Sharpen my axe; I’m here to sever heads.”

Police — acting under a state law that allows emergency, temporary psychiatric commitments upon the recommendation of a mental health professional — took Raub to the John Randolph Medical Center in Hopewell. He was not charged with any crime.

A Virginia-based civil liberties group, The Rutherford Institute, dispatched one of its attorneys to the hospital to represent Raub at a hearing Monday. A judge ordered Raub detained for another month, Rutherford executive director John Whitehead said.

“For government officials to not only arrest Brandon Raub for doing nothing more than exercising his First Amendment rights but to actually force him to undergo psychological evaluations and detain him against his will goes against every constitutional principle this country was founded upon,” Whitehead said.

Raub’s mother, Cathleen Thomas, said by telephone that the government had overstepped its bounds.

“The bottom line is his freedom of speech has been violated,” she said.

Thomas said her son, who served tours as a combat engineer in Iraq and Afghanistan, is “concerned about all the wars we’ve experienced” and believes the U.S. government was complicit in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. One of his Facebook posts, she said, pictured the gaping hole in the Pentagon and asked “where’s the plane?”

Whitehead said he found nothing alarming in Raub’s social media commentaries. “The posts I read that supposedly were of concern were libertarian-type posts I see all the time,” he said.

The big concern, Whitehead said, is whether government officials are monitoring citizens’ private Facebook pages and detaining people with whom they disagree.

Dee Rybiski, an FBI spokeswoman in Richmond, said there was no Facebook snooping by her agency.

“We received quite a few complaints about what were perceived as threatening posts,” she said. “Given the circumstances with the things that have gone on in the country with some of these mass shootings, it would be horrible for law enforcement not to pay attention to complaints.”

Whitehead said some of the posts in question were made on a closed Facebook page that Raub had recently created so he questioned whether anyone from the public would have complained about them.

“Support Brandon Raub” Facebook pages have drawn significant interest, and other Internet sites had numerous comments from people outraged by the veteran’s detention.

Raub’s supporters characterized the detention as an arrest, complaining he was handcuffed and whisked away in a police cruiser without being served a warrant or read his rights. But authorities say it wasn’t an arrest because Raub doesn’t face criminal charges.

Col. Thierry Dupuis, the county police chief, said Raub was taken into custody upon the recommendation of mental health crisis intervention workers. He said the action was taken under the state’s emergency custody statute, which allows a magistrate to order the civil detention and psychiatric evaluation of a person who is considered potentially dangerous.

He said Raub was handcuffed because he resisted officers’ attempts to take him into custody.

The FBI trailed Mario Savio for more than a decade after he led the 1964 Free Speech Movement at UC Berkeley, and bureau officials plotted to “neutralize” him politically — even though there was no evidence he broke any federal law, according to FBI records obtained by The Chronicle.

J. Edgar Hoover‘s FBI targeted Savio because he was the nation’s first prominent student leader of the ’60s, and top FBI officials feared protests would spread from Berkeley to other schools, the records show.

The bureau used tactics against Savio that Congress in 1976 found were improper — including some similar to investigative methods that agents may now use against suspected terrorists under the Patriot Act and under loosened FBI guidelines, experts said.

According to hundreds of pages of FBI files — and, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Free Speech Movement, as reported in today’s Chronicle Magazine — the bureau:

— Collected, without court order, personal information about Savio from schools, telephone companies, utility firms and banks and compiled information about his marriage and divorce.

— Monitored his day-to-day activities by using informants planted in political groups, covertly contacting his neighbors, landlords and employers, and having agents pose as professors, journalists and activists to interview him and his wife.

— Obtained his tax returns from the Internal Revenue Service in violation of federal rules, mischaracterized him as a threat to the president and arranged for the CIA and foreign intelligence agencies to investigate him when he and his family traveled in Europe.

— Put him on an unauthorized list of people to be detained without judicial warrant in event of a national emergency, and designated him as a “Key Activist” whose political activities should be “disrupted” and “neutralized” under the bureau’s extralegal counterintelligence program known as COINTELPRO.

The bureau took these actions against Savio even after San Francisco FBI agents repeatedly told bureau headquarters that he was not connected with, or influenced by, any subversive political group or foreign power.

A 1968 memo from the San Francisco FBI office said Savio was one of several Bay Area activists who were “independent free thinkers and do not appear to be answerable to any one person or any group or organization.”

LaRae Quy, an FBI spokeswoman in San Francisco, declined to comment on Savio’s case but said the FBI now operates with a greater concern for First Amendment activities and more oversight from the U.S. Department of Justice, Congress and the press.

Savio died at 53 of a heart attack in 1996 at his home in Sebastopol.

Lynne Hollander, a former Free Speech Movement activist and Savio’s widow, said the FBI made the mistake of believing he threatened national security because he protested government policy.

“That’s outrageous. These are all constitutionally protected activities, and the FBI had no business spending time and money taking note of them,” said Hollander, a retired librarian who lives in Sonoma County.

Suzanne Goldberg, a Free Speech Movement leader who was married to Savio in the ’60s and was also under surveillance, called the FBI’s activities disturbing. “The whole thing is an invasion of privacy,” said Goldberg, now a psychotherapist in Washington, D.C.

Savio was a brilliant, 21-year-old philosophy student who had helped register black voters in Mississippi the previous summer when he joined in protesting UC Berkeley’s enforcement of a ban against political activity on campus in the fall of 1964.

Students from across the political spectrum formed the Free Speech Movement and used nonviolent civil disobedience such as pickets and sit-ins.

Savio quickly emerged as the movement’s most eloquent spokesman and attracted international media attention, urging students to “put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels” to stop the university “machine.” In response, students occupied the campus’ Sproul Hall on Dec. 2, 1964, in an overnight sit-in that led to almost 800 arrests, the largest mass arrest of students in U.S. history.

Hoover soon ordered agents to focus on the student leader, and though Savio became less active politically in the following years as he dealt with sometimes overwhelming depression, the FBI continued to gather information on him into 1975, three years after Hoover’s death.

The records obtained by The Chronicle provide the most complete account to date of the FBI’s activities concerning Savio. The bureau targeted him during the Cold War, when Hoover was deeply concerned about growing dissent at UC, the nation’s largest public university and operator of top-secret federal nuclear laboratories. As The Chronicle previously disclosed, Hoover was secretly campaigning at the same time to oust UC President Clark Kerr — whom the movement saw as its enemy — because bureau officials blamed him for not cracking down on student protesters.

David Sobel, general counsel with the Electronic Privacy Information Center, a Washington, D.C., group that has challenged some of the government’s efforts to expand the collection of personal information, said many of the tactics used against Savio — such as putting his name on “watch lists” and collecting personal financial data and school records — are “ancestors” of current surveillance systems. He said Savio’s case was a “cautionary tale” about how the combination of power and secrecy can lead to intelligence abuses.

California Attorney General Bill Lockyer, who was involved in the Free Speech Movement as a UC Berkeley political science student, called the FBI’s treatment of Savio “outrageous.”

Lockyer said the excesses of the Hoover era have been “reined in, in very substantial and significant ways, and the J. Edgar Hoover culture has been replaced by a significantly more law-abiding … environment.”

But he said it is necessary to be sensitive to constitutional rights in the war on terrorism and that U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft‘s call to expand the Patriot Act “raises very serious questions about federal authority being used to step on people’s personal liberties.”

“The idea that the FBI would continue its surveillance of Mario Savio years after the FSM and put him on watch lists is absurd,” said Lockyer, who, as the top state law enforcement official, heads California’s anti-terrorism effort.

Savio was no threat to national security, he said. “He was somebody who believed deeply in the Bill of Rights and believed the university and the state were stepping on our civil liberties. And he was right.”

Well
I went to the book store today at UH Manoa
Promptly got books and went to check out-
The representative told me we don’t do debit only credit
I did a double take, and it hurt my already aching neck

I said can you kindly repeat that?
She said “we don’t do debit, only credit”
I said it can’t be, I did debit transactions
here before She and the other two cashers insisted that was not the case and said they “never” did debit transactions at the uh Manoa book store. I said oh really, and started to pull out the receipt from my wallet with the debit transactions, and asked to see the supervisor. Sure enough the supervisor came out, and said the same thing, until I started reaching for the receipt, the story changed,” Oh we used to do debit , but we can’t now because before the transaction was not encrypted, and that they did not want to change the machines during the rush period of the semester and that they would have to wait till after the rush period and then still they did not know how long it would take”Really? and I say that because I worked in as a cashier before
_________
This whole experience, they maimed and tried to disable me for empathy and sympathy, and I don’t empathize because it wasn’t done by nature it was due to nefarious purposes and at someone’s behest, I don’t need to prove that to anyone at the moment, I know the truth.
_______
If they can do this to me, what else are they willing to do to Russia?
____________
For minorities, women, African-Americans etc to engage in such behavior, then what is civil rights and all those movements for? All that exposes is one tyranny for the next
Are you willing to maim and disable someone to get sympathy for the cause, what does that say about you?______
I do not say what I explicitly want to say to the cabal in DC, as  matter of civility and it is does warrant a recourse at this moment in time
______
The people doing the harassment are an extension of their manipulators, some willing, some not so willing, so it would be wrong for me as an individual to lash out indiscriminately at random people. The source is the one who deserves any recourse and finding the link and proof is paramount.

Betrayed by relatives, acquaintances and associates, what was their goal?
I am a man of no importance, then as now
So why all this charade and manipulation?
________
And it is in this profound reflection I understand the Dilemma of the Russian Federation and how easy it is to manipulate youth, especially naive youth. Our youth So young in our yesteryears we forget this innocence and only later in our wisdom we reflect upon our youthful folly. For it is the ravenous who seek
change through “might makes right” and it is the wise who change through wisdom.

The Russian Federation is not an infallible state as no nation on the planet earth is, it is through active engagement of its youth, and through strength of wisdom shall Russia find its internal stability.

_______
I do not have the arms and means in condition of a state to defend myself, and in this regard the Russian Federation must and will defend itself. I know what they did and they know what they did and I shall write a poem in dedication to Russia in our shared condition and humanity until this physical condition passes and heals.

Pain along spine continues, with headaches, chest pain and difficult breathing, swollen tongue, pain in throat. Currently on terminal leave Now. I have no plans of returning to new york as I have never considered it a my home, nothing but trouble from that state as well as trouble from here. Abdominal pain increasing, starting to have massive abdominal and spinal pain.

too much spinal and abdominal pain

Dina said some pretty nasty things on the phone, to the point in
her rage that she let slip some in for,
information that she would know only if she was involved in this harassment

____________
Some one once remarked, “well wouldn’t you like to be rich and famous?”

Dina used to ask me that, my answer then as now is no and I would definitely not want power

It is now I began to see the contours and machinations of evil people

The gentleman from RUS 101 has a spot on voice of Henry Kissinger, at first I thought it sounded a bit like Robert Moses or laguardia, but no he sounds just like Henry Kissinger.

My observations and experiences with langauges

English is my native tongue, as an Afro-west indian I only had the pleasure of learning that as a first language and the mixed patois dialect
The beauty of English is in its versatility, horrible letters though, except the old various forms of english calligraphy which is now relegated to font styles on word softwares.

French is indeed a romantic language, even the simplest saying in french of  the most mundane thing sounds as if you were romancing someone

Spanish is a very passionate language, every phrase in spanish sounds as if whole passion was put into the articulation of that phrase

Indian, Arabic and Hebrew are melodic  languages mellifluous in phrasing, and hypnotic in intonation but Arabic has the most beautiful calligraphy.

Portuguese is a very sexual language it intones sexuality, I don’t know why but every time I hear a Portuguese I the phrases comes across as sexual.

Chinese, Japanese and Korean is are melodic and up lifting, these language phrases impart the feeling of “wisdom hovering above the fray” philosophical in intonation, ebbing in high and low intonations

German is mildly authoritative except the eastern german dialects and phonetic sounds, “the strudels and  strussels,”  imparts a wicked playfulness

Most native languages  of the Americas, Africa and pacific in sound, intonation and phraseology  imparts the feeling of healing as if you were intoning a healing phrase with very vowel sounds and distinctive use of the diaphragm

Greek and Latin come across as if you are articulating in profound reflection

Italian can be described as dunking into water on  a hot day to cool off, I have no other way of describing it

Now Russian, Russian combines  passion, romance, sensuality, authoritative, melody, hypnotic, and wicked playfulness  all  in one language

Well another bumber: I paid and signed up for Real estate salesperson’s pre-licensing (the course is open to all- even students not in the university) non-credit course at UH Mania.

To find out today at the outreach college in Sinclair library there are only three people registered for the course and that it might be dropped as they need ten people

I find that extremely strange, just like the race relations course they mysteriously cancelled, what they are trying to hide. Not only that they did not process my payment at the time of being paid, and the reason given was that it would be hard to cut a check  once payment was processed, well how did they know ahead of time 3-4 weeks ago of the case.

FOX REPORTER WHO RELEASED THE NAME/HOME TOWN OF THE NAVY SEAL

CRITICIZED THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION FOR NOT GUARDING THE NAMES OF THE SEALS ZEALOUSLY ENOUGH: THE FOX DOUBLE STANDARD AT WORK.

Justin Fishel, the Fox News reporter who has come under scrutiny for releasing the identity of a Navy SEAL central to the Bin Laden raid, penned a Fox News article in May 2011 that slammed the Obama administration for discussing details of the raid with the press. In that article, Fishel argued that “Navy SEALs want to protect their identities” and that the SEALs “have expressed concerns about their safety and the safety of their families now that details of the mission have been made public.”

The original story where the reporter releases the former Seal’s name and  home town: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/08/23/author-bin-laden-raid-insider-account-idd-could-face-legal-trouble/

It appears their Russian plan failed one would wager, the instigation of civil war in Russian never came about, civil strife in Europe came about and so did in the middle east.

It is naive to  think The Russian federation cannot defend itself, such beliefs are up there with imaginary friends, tales and the effective use of  pixy dust.

I heard once a comment about landing conventional troops on Russian territory, I told the gentleman he was insane.

Then there is that ardent group who believes in nuclear war as a way of re-leveling the playing field and starting from scratch, obviously they are oblivious to the effects of radiation poisoning. They would rather a self fulfilling armageddon.

_______

I deal with the pain in my own way on a daily basis, I do not even try to explain to people. They just keep putting obstacles in the way, and there is a vast network here, that is a public fact there are over 120 intelligence agencies on this island alone, so no, I am not being paranoid when I say this island is a layered spy  network.

based upon my experience with these evil people, looked from another angle, this is how one creates villains, maim and harass a person to the point of insanity or pain where they lash out at any and everything, then scream look, a villain we can solve the problem, and I would wager this is not just done with individuals but with groups also.

Oh, the evil that men and women do…and not one of them asks themselves what it is they are doing, or where is the definitive proof, this is how corruption spreads, coupled with no checks and balances.

Russia must avoid these trappings and find a efficient means of checking and balancing, so that rapacious people don’t scream oh human rights abuse human rights abuse

My observation nothing more

I am not left, right, liberal, democrat or confined to those labels

Both sides were played and none being the wiser to the situation, this is the same model the practice globally and the stooges disappear or die off.

I ask you do you think you will get away with murder?

What this experience exposed is the farce of the right and dastardly left, and neither are none the wiser to the forces manipulating them in actions and ideology

This the Russian Federation must avoid, which is currently one would wager being implemented against it, with the sole goal being the disintegration of the Russian Federation.

The only police totalitarian sate I see and have experienced is the one here.
The Russian Federation will not accept the murder, abduction, maiming and coercion of its citizens in totality and practiced for the sole purpose caprice or hegemony

The Russian Federation is a sovereign sate more than capable of responding to external and internal threats directed at it

Interesting thing happened in 19th century Russian today, the professor was describing Nicolai Gogol biographical and back ground sketch with some blatant discrepancies, one wonders if it was all an attempt at propaganda or a setup, who knows.

I pointed out based upon the reading that Gogol hated the village he went to school in, was a supporter of the Monarchy. Needless to say I did my research on the author weeks ahead of time.

She as the subject matter expert claimed that this was not the case and the book is wrong and she only orders the cheap books, and I am taking away time from the other students.

Well if that is setting students up for failure, than I am the king of the world, because it is disingenuous to do so and two it is putting personal beliefs above academic standards of integrity, objectivity and fairness.

I am not going to bore you with a biography with citations on Gogol, but I observed the dispositions as suspected.

The Russian Federation doesn’t need those aforementioned trapping, actively engaging and dealing with the issue removes it from the context of antagonistic propaganda to be used by ones enemies years later.

Holistically what happened in the military in the past decade or more was a very deliberated and coordinated purge of the old guard, and entire generations of soldiers were maimed in one way or the other.

  1. You actually make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find
this matter to be actually something which I think I would never
understand. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for
me. I am looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
